A Polish researcher developed a solution for the construction industry for the design, simulation and optimization of a column`s stability range using genetic algorithms. A Polish researcher developed a solution for the construction industry for the design, simulation and optimization of a column's stability range using genetic algorithms.

In a process of designing columns (divided into segments) the Polish researcher is dealing with decision's variables on one side and restrictions on the other side.

The restriction is the mass of the column. The variables determine section of segments or location and flexibility of joints.

The method solves the problem of calculation of maximum critical force that used to need very high computational capacities. For optimization, the solution uses stochastic methods and differential algorithm.
