A Slovak research institute has developed a special apparatus used for continuous measurement of humidity of loose material transported by conveyor belts. They are open for license and/or joint venture.

The apparatus developed by a Slovak research institute is used for continuous measurement of humidity of loose material transported by conveyor belts. Characteristics of apparatus, description and function: Fast neutrons decelerated by hydrogen atoms create a cloud of slow neutrons, which induces radiation inside a detecting probe. GM (Geiger-Mueller) tubes register this radiation. The impulses from tubes are electronically processed into an electric signal proportionally to the humidity of material.Technical data: Range of measurement: 0% - 100%, accuracy of measurement: 0.2% of measured value. Radiator and detecting probe (4 GM tubes) are mounted on the same board, which is hanging over the conveyor belt during operation.
