Kurzfassung
A Scottish SME has developed a rapidly deployed covert surveillance system using battery-powered, wireless (GPRS) camera technology. High-quality, full-colour live video at up to 1 frame per second is transmitted via the internet or mobile devices, including phones, and multimedia and text messages can be triggered by alarm events to multiple devices to allow coordinated actions. The company seeks CCTV equipment suppliers with access to the police and security markets for licenses or JVs.
Details
A Scottish SME has developed StakeoutCam, a covert surveillance system using battery-powered, wireless (GPRS – General Packet Radio system) camera technology. The technology is currently being trialled in two UK police forces for monitoring unmanned premises, drug operations and transport surveillance.
The system provides cost effective remote surveillance from rapidly deployed, portable, low-power wireless technology. The discrete 100x200x35mm enclosure has a flying screw-terminal connector.
Central to the system is their revolutionary lossless compression algorithm that generates perfect freeze frames to meet the requirements of the security industry for transmitting high-quality no-motion-estimation blurring images in a compressed form over the IP network (Internet) and over mobile networks. High-quality, full-colour live video at up to 1 frame per second is transmitted.
Images can be viewed live or by recorded video (saved on Compact Flash card) via the Internet or mobile phone. Encrypted video and sophisticated, password-protected user management software ensures security.
The system allows multiple authorised viewers of the same video stream for coordinated operations e.g. for drug or terrorism surveillance from different quarters.
Integration with the Alarm Event M2M (Machine-to-Machine) Server ensures that when an Alarm Event occurs, video messages (MMS) or text messages (SMS) can be programmed to be sent to multiple mobile phones, PDAs or by email.
Multiple alarm events are recorded on the integrated CF (CompactFlash) card and may be viewed remotely in retrospect via the Internet or with the custom software supplied. These recordings contain video images before, during and after the alarm event.
Innovative Aspects:
Lossless Virtual PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) functionality and simultaneous multi-camera viewing. Viewing and transmitting over GPRS Network. Designed for security applications and images are high-quality. Price point is very competitive. Designed and manufactured in EU.
Advantages:
1. The system provides cost-effective remote surveillance from rapidly deployed, portable, low-power wireless technology.
2. Advanced Power Management extends battery life to 2+ years with over 80 hours of video transmission.
3. Images can be used as prima facia evidence in court.
