Kurzfassung
A Yorkshire-based (United Kingdom) company seeks a partner to manufacture a web flatness measurement system. The non-contact system measures web flatness optically and can be temporarily fitted to plant as required.
Details
The system uses a cross-mounted air nozzle and plenum box system that displaces the material as it passes over it. A thin strip of light is obliquely reflected in the same side of the material, perpendicular to the rolling direction. When viewed, the line of light reflected off the web is distorted proportionately with web displacement. Any localised slack areas of the material will experience greater displacement. Line distortion is monitored by an intelligent camera system (see below). For opaque materials, a laser line is projected obliquely on to the web and the image viewed by the cameras.
