Kurzfassung

A Polish institute offers machines designed for heating of current-conducting materials that are placed in an alternating magnetic field. The heat emission is caused by the flow of eddy currents induced in the heated material. The induced currents are concentrated in superficial layers of the heated object thanks to the conductor skin effect. The higher work frequency causes the stronger skin effect. Details

High volumetric density of power in the comparison to alternative heating methods and the possibility of precise proportioning of energy in specified areas ensure to obtain a low energy-consuming process and high heating rate.

Innovative Aspects:
The machines are designed and produced on the basis of the most modern transistor converters, with resonant inverters, where the load is a part of the resonant circuit.
The converter control enables the system to automatically adjust its frequency to the resonant frequency, which maximises the efficiency and power of the machines.
The inverters are constructed on the basis of the most modern IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) and MOSFET (Metal-Oxide Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistor) transistors’ generation. They are controlled with the use of programmable control systems. Thus, the machines provide the optimal heating conditions in production processes. They are perfectly suitable for automation of production processes, ensuring high repetiveness of parameters, relatively easy heat treatment of hard-to-reach areas, or usable in gas shielding. • Brazing of carbide plates for cutting tools, e.g.: drills, drill bits, turning knives, barking knives, stone cutters, milling cutters, saw blades etc.
• Heat treatment of thin-walled sleeves in mass production in armaments industry
• Work-stand for induction heating of car alternator rotors prior to impregnation of coil windings
• Specially automated work-stand for assembling of combustion engine ignition plugs with induction heating of their shells.
• Selective heating of: power network elements prior to forging operation, drill charges before rolling operation, segments of Gall chains before bending and redrawing.
