The company is looking for industrial partners, interested in licensing the technology and adopting it to their application.

Details

Air treatment has always suffered from noise problems. Noise generated by fans and ventilation systems are hard to eliminate due to its complicated nature. Efficiency and noise do not always go hand in hand and thus, forces developers to compromise on efficiency to meet acoustic requirements. Low acoustic emissions are also fast growing in customer satisfaction surveys as an important factor.
The patented technology is a totally new way to handle noise problems in ventilation/cooling systems. This revolutionary technology is based on active flow through noise reduction. In short it means that noise is removed in the air flow as it flows through the component. In drive fan integration, the noise is absorbed by the fan itself, even the noise created by the same fan!
The core of the new technology is a new speaker technology. By slightly modulating the angles of the blades in the fan, the fan itself becomes a speaker. This speaker can then be used to remove unwanted disturbances in the airflow. This technology has a very good low frequency performance and can remove sound all the way into the subsonic noise spectrum.
The Swedish SME is now looking for partners from the cooling fan and ventilation industry, interested in licensing the patented technology.
The company offers the technology in two ways of licensing:

* Development license:
The development license enables you to use the technology during your product development phase.

* Production License:
The production license enables you to produce products based on the technology.
The service offered includes adoption of the technology to the customer’s application.

Innovative Aspects:
The novel principle of the technology is to use wings in a rotating fan/turbine configuration to generate sound. The angle of the wings is modulated by the sound signal and doing so modulates the sound pressure. Each rotation during the pressure cycle will act as a new "cone" area and doing so will extend the active "cone" area. This phenomenon is used to eliminate the noise generated by the fan.
