Kurzfassung

An Andalusian SME has developed an all-integrated intercommunication system for small-sized boats working in rescue and surveillance. This system makes possible the communication between the skipper and the crew wherever they are (inside the boat, in an rescue operation, etc.). External communication with radios and mobile phones can also be maintained. They are looking for technical cooperation in order to install this development. They are open to commercial agreements.

An Andalusian SME has developed an all-integrated intercommunication system to be used in teams for rescue, surveillance operation, etc. In the case of small-sized rescue boats it is possible that the boat skipper can communicate with his crew regardless of where the crew are (inside/out of the boat) and maintain at the same time the communication with the external radios of the boat and a mobile phone. Due to the fact that one of the earphones’ missions is also to reduce environmental noise, the boat’s audible alarms will be integrated in the system, in a visual and audible way, when possible.

The system consists of a master unit and inter-phase unit. These units are intended for supplying sound to the crew earphones, connected to them, interacting with the external radios and the mobile phones.

The crew member who disconnects his earphone from the system connects them to a portable GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service) radio that allows them to maintain the communication with the boat skipper.

Innovative Aspects:
The system was developed after the requirement of an important Spanish company involved in Fleet Management of small boats. Some companies that were asked to develop the same system answered that this solution was not viable with the existing systems known by them.

For this reason the Spanish SME carried out the development and manufacturing of this system.

The system is characterised by the capacity of integrating all boat intercommunications, alarm systems on the deck.

Scalability to different sizes of crew is possible.

This new system can be fitted to current equipments so that technical capacity is not modified.
