Permeation technology devices provide an excellent method of producing known gas concentrations in the parts per million (PPM) and parts per billion (PPB) levels for calibration of analytical instrumentation, etc. The new vapour generator platform was developed by a UK company during in-house testing of their advanced nanotechnology-based chemical detection products. Demands for improved gas generation standards led to the platform development, and to date 22 units have been sold.
