An Italian research team is looking for something that can be easily deposited or laminated in small (e.g. < 1 mm) lines across a glass plate that gives a highly conductive connection between the glass plate and another glass plate that will be placed or pressed on top of the bottom one. The material needs should be highly resistant to light, ageing, and temperatures that can reach 80°C. Ideally it should resist to corrosion from an electrolyte based on organic solvents, although this is not an absolute requirement.

The team is seeking a technology concerning fabricating highly conductive fingers for current collection in dye-sensitised and organic solar cells. The material should be easily deposited, for example in paste or ink form, and it should be in small lines across a transparent conductive oxide TCO (Transparent Conductive Oxide)-covered glass plate.
