A German SME has been successful in the field of woven technical textiles for more than ten years and in particular spaced knitted fabric. The company has a very strong co-operation with the same producer of machine tools and with experienced research institutes in the Saxony region. They are seeking partners for a technical co-operation and/or a commercial agreement with technical assistance.

The technology

The spaced knitted fabric, for upholstery, has one knitted layer with a higher air permeability, and another knitted layer with a reduced air permeability, and spacer yarns between them. The less permeable knitted layer has a structure with a consistent density, and the other more permeable layer has a screen of openings or slits.

Three dimensional spacer fabrics Technology allows to vary the construction of the two outer layers and the pile yarn independently.
