A Hungarian SME company developed an innovative knitted fabric which shields electromagnetic radiation with an optimum construction and highest shielding effectiveness. The company is looking for partners specialised in the production of protective clothing interested in licensing or further developing the technology.

Electromagnetic pollution – also named 'electrosmog'- is everywhere in our everyday life, as modern society is dependent on the use of electricity. As a result people are almost permanently exposured to electric, magnetic and electromagnetic fields. Electromagnetic waves are radiated by a multitude of electric and electronic devices, such as cell phones, aerials, microwave ovens, computers, etc.
Electromagnetic shielding T-shirts, underwear and other clothes can protect human beings from radiation. The innovative product developed by the Hungarian company is made of a cotton-based fabrics with incorporated special silvercoated polyamide filaments. The fabric is suitable for protective working clothes and hometextile to protect human body and also electronic devices.
The company has a 120 years history in Hungary in the textiles industry. The production is in progress according to ISO 9001. References: United Nations, NATO, Hungarian Customs and Finance Guard, MÁV Hungarian State Railways, Hungarian army etc.

• Shielding effectiveness of the fabric is between 20-25 dB, so it absorbs over 99% of the harmful radiation.
• The product provides effective antistatic protection so it can be used as explosion proof working clothes.
• The product protects effectively against harmful bacteria and gives odour-eliminating properties to the garments.
