An Israeli developer has implemented a new GPLens (Gas Permeable - or Rigid - contact lens). The lens provides better vision, less infection, less eyesight deterioration, less increase in short-sightedness, and achieves the same results without the LASIK surgery and its possible side effects. An Israeli developer is offering a new type of GPLens (Gas Permeable Lens). The lens is a combination of a hard component in centre, softer in the peripheral part, and gas-permeable.
The results are:
• Adapts itself to the perpetual changes the natural eye undertakes in a 24-hour period, protects the eye from long-run vision negative impacts. Prevents the vision deterioration and the bleeding tendency (significantly better to fit to the common user).
• The upfront eye topography problems were solved for all dispositions: the customer, doctor, lab worker and even the retailer. (Generally it could not handle with the existing lenses technologies properly and rather quickly).
• Useful to the night time until 4 hours in order to reshape the eyes’ vision and decline the need to reuse them for the next day.
• Nullify the need for LASIK (Laser-Assisted In-Situ Keratomileusis - also known as vision correction laser surgery) surgery. Macro lens design helps to overcome frequent lens decentration problems associated with traditional spherical or aspheric corneal lens designs.
• In special cases this RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) solution was found a good solution for LASIK procedure gone wrong.

All of these characters are designated to meet the needs of people who suffer from infection and cannot wear soft contact lenses. People whose vision is not correctable by using soft lenses or glasses can now use the RGP at night for a period of up to 4 hours in order to reshape the eyes’ vision and decline the need to reuse them for the next day.
