Kurzfassung

An Italian SME with a strong expertise in the field of thermodynamic boilers has developed a thermo-dynamic condensing system named Condensing Thermo-dynamic Generator (CTG) that works in a similar way to that of a traditional boiler but it is different due to an efficiency of 109,2% and a saving of fuel of 30% with comparison to boilers currently on the market. The company is looking for license agreement and commercial agreement with technical assistance.



Details

The function of the Condensing Thermodynamic Generator (CTG) is similar to that of a traditional normal boiler but is, for several reasons, a technical evolution and a substitutive product.
Its main feature is an efficiency of burning higher than 109.2% on normal steam-heating plants. This implies a fuel saving of 30% on normal boilers sold on the market. The efficiency is reached by the application of a condensing thermodynamic recovery system on a traditional boiler. This system is patent pending with international patent, and can be used in existing boilers to improve their efficiency and save fuel.
This system obtains “4 stars” for efficiency in compliance of Dlgs 192/05, Dlgs 311/06 and succ. and the Directions 92/42/CEE (upper class for energy efficiency).

Innovative Aspects:
The competitive advantage is based on the possibility of this system to be installed in normal steam-heating plants using hot water (60-80°C) reaching efficiency higher than the best condensing boilers on the market. To reach a similar level of efficiency, condensing boilers need to be installed on a low-temperature plant (floor-plant) that is more expensive and not so common.
This system is considered the most economic and efficient in this sector.
The patents related to recovering heat from gas boilers have been filed. This recovering heat, moreover, is able to reduce normal discharge and so to reduce pollution. Discharges are reduced because there is a saving of fuel with the same energy produced, and at the same time there is, during working, a process of “cleaning the fumes” because of rapid and energetic condensation. The particular process of “cleaning the fumes” allows a decrease in discharges of up to 60%: less fuel is used in the system, and part of pollution agents such as CO, CO2, NOX are solved in the water used by the process. The fumes are discharged at the temperature of 35°C, so the pipe can be built in plastic material. The manufacturers of this sector offer a range of products that have a demand of fuel that is 16% higher for a modulating condensing boiler and 30% higher for a normal cast-iron base boiler with comparison to CTG. High-temperature boiler manufacturers are testing systems with a better efficiency by 0,5% than common boilers. This technology allows a better efficiency by 16% than the most efficient boilers currently sold on the market.
