A Spanish company is specialised in the manufacture of flexible aluminium tubes, which are used as breathing tubes in buildings, mainly on garages.

In order to comply with new building standards (Building Standard: Royal Decree RD 314-2006), the company is looking for an organisation to perform the fire test of breathing tubes in risky areas.

The most risky fire areas in a building are the garages, where it is very important to have good ventilation. Fire can result in smoke, which hampers clear vision and that can result in personal injuries and difficulties for the fire brigade.

All building materials used in garages have to undergo a fire test at high temperature to verify that tube properties can resist rough conditions.

The ventilation flow must not change in case of fire emergency.

The Test is described in Building Standard: RD 314-2006

The company needs to contract test services within the next three months to solve the problems they are currently facing with the implementation of this test.
