Polysensory and virtual prototyping: computer-aided conception and management for products, process, network optimization

A French laboratory in textile offers its R&D know-how in computer-aided design/management for optimisation of textile products, process and companies network. Mass customisation production helps consumers creating their own solutions: it requires several scientific and technical support which cover the laboratory. Partners such as companies, R&D entities, academics are sought for technical cooperation, prototype and small-scale production, common EU projects.

A French university laboratory offers it R&D know-how and expertise to companies to set up and manage mass customization tools, taking into account sensory perceptions and virtual prototype. That enables to optimize textile products for consumers’ satisfaction, process and networks. The consumer can therefore become an actor and create his own products: the aim is to improve the usability, ergonomy of industrialized products and services; optimize the product in accordance with the users’ consumers’ wishes, size and specifications.

That issue is quite complex, being at the crossroad of several scientific and technical criteria; of which consumers perception for comfort and style, virtual prototyping for clothes designing, production planning & management and selling predicts… All these issues are structured within that strategic project.
