A Dutch company producing medical disposables with locations in the Netherlands is looking for a manufacturer that can apply polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)-like materials on sharpened needles. They are looking for a technical cooperation, manufacturing agreement, or commercial agreement with technical assistance.

Details

A Dutch company manufactures medical and neurodiagnostic accessories, more specifically needle products for EEG and EMG measurement as well as needles for pain treatment.
Pre-manufacturing and R&D are executed in a Dutch cleanroom facility. The series and mass production is done in an Indonesian based manufacturing plant.
They want to apply polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) on needles (stainless steel canula's of around 1 mm) which should be a medical grade electrically isolating coating. The sharp tip of the needle should remain free from coating.
The current manufacturing process involves many manufacturing steps which might to lead to damage of the tip of the needle.
A partner should be willing to work with medical devices (ie clean-room environment)and have knowledge of applying thin layer coatings on small objects.
