A Brussels-based SME has developed tailor-made terminals for transport companies allowing voice and data communication between vehicle and dispatching. This telecommunication solution is easy to install and can be completed by specific applications according to the customers’needs. The company is looking for partners willing implement the offered solution and/or for partners able to develop and integrate software for specific public transport markets.

Details

The technology combines computer technology with radio communication. It consists on on-board radio terminals providing the clients tailor-made solutions. The terminal includes a digital radio controlled by a microcomputer and allows for voice and data communication between the vehicle and the dispatching.
Depending on the type of vehicle, extra information can be sent as well through radio connection, for example short messages or status messages.

The terminal is suited for railway cars, trams or busses. It is also suited for metro, allowing communication between the drivers and the ground crew.

The terminal can interface with different equipments of the vehicle by means of digital inputs/outputs, serial lines or Ethernet.

This technology can also be completed by specific applications such as GPS, AVL (a self-balancing binary search tree), call centre, unified messaging, passenger information display solutions, localization software, according to the customers’ needs.

The terminal is provided for all public transport companies which want to have voice and data communication with their vehicles and the drivers. It allows for voice communication between driver and dispatcher and for data communication between the vehicle and central computers.

- The terminal exists in two versions: 24VDC or 72VDC
