New rainwater storage system

Kurzfassung

An Italian manufacturer company specialised in plastic injection molding technology for the production of plastic pots and containers has developed a new way for rainwater storage to be used for feeding plants. The main advantages are: the good looking of the storage system permits to use it also in home gardens; the system modularity for an easy scaling of the volume of the storage. The company is looking for technical partners to develop further funcionalities on usability and design aspects.

Details

The constant and increasing exploiting of natural resouces such as water, has become one of the biggest challenges the world is facing. The water tank technology uses Polypropilen copolimer shockproof plastic material, low and hot temperature resistant, UV rays proof and unbreakable. The water goes into the tank through a special filter which links the gutterpipe to the tank itself. Than the water can be used for feeding the plants in the garden or for indoor usage. The product is composed of three parts. The lower part, the upper part, and the lid. It’s supplied together with a kit of necessary tools which permits to build it: screws, bolts, a seal (for join the lower and upper part), a tap and a plug.

Innovative Aspects:
The main innovation of this product is the possibility to use the natural rainwater for feeding the plants by collecting it throgh a gutterpipe, fighting against the wastes of this primary and necessary natural source. Nevertheless there is the possibility to connect thanks each other in order to save extra rain water.
Compared to competitor’s articles made in rotational moulding process, the most important advantage of this item is the possibility to stack the product one into the other, in order to reduce considerably the transport costs incidence.
