Kurzfassung
A small Romanian research company has developed a lamp with sodium vapours under high pressure. Main advantage: lighting efficiency 135 ÷216 lm /W, twice the current value for that kind of tubes. Type of partner sought: technical co-operation with a research organization for developing, license agreement, joint venture or manufacturing agreement with a producer from the lighting field for manufacture and distribution of this kind of lamps with sodium vapours under high pressure.
Details
At present the lamps with high-pressure sodium vapours have an efficiency of 65-110 lm/W. As a result of private research made by a small Romanian company, the new lamp with high-pressure sodium vapours has 135-216 lm/W, which means double efficiency. Not only the electric consumption is reduced but also, in lamp production process, copper consumption (from inductive ballast) is reduced by 50%, and that of ferrosilicon core by 50%. The new lamp has reduced thermal dissipation by 50%, reduced risk of fire and explosion, and a longer lifetime. The new space generator of yellow radiations is a cylindrical crown (not a column like with current tubes) with a reduce cross-section. The useful yellow radiation of sodium vapours under high pressure is given only by the external border; the photons produced by the core of the crown are useless, and this thing was eliminated from the new lamp. Now it is possible to expand the gamut of such tubes with small lamps of 1,000 lm/10W and bigger lamps of 80,000 lm/400W.
