GSM technology based device family for free remote device switching and status monitoring

A Hungarian small enterprise has developed a GSM technology based device family for free of charge remote device power switching, status monitoring and gate opening. Main advantages of technology on offer: only a single device will suffice for multiple users. Technology is ideal for hunter’s lodge owners, weekend house owners, as well as for resident representatives or facility managers. The company is searching for service or industrial partners for device serial production and installation.

As a member of a group companies, this Hungarian enterprise distributes satellite based navigation devices.
Technology on offer operates with an industrial modem and SMS/GPRS commands. These matchbox-sized devices are suitable for providing SMS alert services and switching devices on or off.

The device family has four unit variants:
• Variant 1: Enables cell phone calls to power on or power off any device. Unit operation is relay controlled (furnaces in lodges or weekend houses, car alarms, etc.) In case of system malfunction, the device sends an SMS alert.
• Variant 2: This unit has four inputs or outputs which are fully customizable individually. If needed, all four ports can be inputs or outputs only. These inputs or outputs can be activated by SMS messages.
• Variant 3: It has only one input and one output, however, the unit is capable of storing 1000 user phone numbers in its memory. If a residence complex has 30 families with 3 persons each living in it, it is unnecessary to give 90 devices to members of the families, it is enough to give 1 device to the residence representative. Family members’ phone numbers then will have to be registered in this master device. Only individuals whose number is registered can open the gate with a free SMS message. Should someone move, the number is deleted from the master device, and as a result, that person will no longer be able to enter the premises.
• Variant 4: It can be used for the collection of measurement data. It can continuously send analogue data to a remote computer via a GPRS connection (mobile internet). The system, for instance, enables the owner of a cold store to remotely monitor the temperature of the stored goods. Should the temperature exceed a certain value, the reserve cooling compressor can be remotely activated.

Units are powered by a 12V supply, max 5 cables can be used for connection.

Tasks to be resolved: device serial production and installation.

Innovative Aspects:
Boasts with free of charge operation, it is enough to ring the device, it then automatically breaks the call, and then immediately switches the controlled unit on or off.

Even multiple users could go with a single device as it can store all users’ cell phone numbers - users do not require individual units.
