Kurzfassung
A Russian manufacturing company from Samara region needs a technology for annealing welding seams at heavily stressed thick-section castings produced of titanium alloys. With the present technologies, after welding, the material strength at the weld zone is considerably reduced. This problem can possibly be solved by weld annealing with an electronic defocused beam in the vacuum. The company is ready for production and commercial agreements and for technical cooperation.
Details
A manufacturing company from Samara region needs a technology for annealing welding seams at high-pressure thick-section castings produced of titanium alloys VT22 after electron-beam welding in vacuum. A possible solution is weld annealing with an electronic defocused beam in the vacuum. The width of the annealing zone around the weld is about 20 mm. After annealing, the weld tensile strength in break should be not less than 95 kGf/mm2, the strength of the material itself being 120-135 kGf/mm2. The impact toughness in the weld zone should be over 2*105 J/m2.
