A small company in west Sweden has developed a unique technology for time critical network applications. Using this software you will be able to save both time and money using standard Ethernet. Applications are in automotive, industrial, finance, marine and telecom area. The company is looking for partners for joint development, commercial agreements with technical assistance and for licensing the technology.

Today, computer networks and hosts are already in a complex, distributed architecture. Future functions will be even more complex, distributed, interconnected and necessarily interdependent. Their correct behaviour will not simply be a matter of functional correctness that is, making sure that the results of the computations are correct, but they will depend on timing and reliability constraints.
Building such networks and systems in an efficient, predictable and reliable way in spite of the increased complexity of functions and architectures in a way that allows predictable integration of software components and platforms is the future major challenge of the automotive as well as the industrial automation industrial sectors.
Innovative Aspects:
Increased quality of service to as high as 100% for the most valuable software applications in a network. All benefits of switched Ethernet networks without compromising on data delivery reliability.
The software tool computes an upper bound on traffic flows conveyed across normal Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Ethernet switches. The tool also finds an upper bound on the requested amount of buffer space on each switch. Together these two analyses ensure that (i) Ethernet frames are received by their deadlines and (ii) no packet loss occurs.
