Kurzfassung

One of the biggest R&D companies and white goods manufacturer of Turkey is looking for industrial partners, especially SMEs, and/or research institutes for an FP7 proposal of NMP 2012 call. The main objective of the project is to develop advanced magnetic materials without, or with reduced use of, critical raw materials. The potential partners should have the capability of magnet synthesis and 3D flux design in view of the project.

Details

One of the largest consumer and white goods company of Turkey and Europe is looking for SMEs and research institutes in order to submit an FP7 NMP.2012.4.1-3 proposal aiming to develop advanced magnetic materials without, or with reduced use of, critical raw materials.

One of the crucial cost drivers on electric motors is “magnet”. Magnetic properties of these magnets have impressive effect on motor performance, dimensions, design etc. Where the rare earth magnet prices are rising up these days, magnets become the most important cost driver. Non-European countries like China dominate the magnetic materials market, especially rare earth magnets, and this fact threatens European countries.

With this project, it is aimed to develop novel magnetic materials in parallel to relative call’s objectives.

Intended structure of the consortium: Turkish company will be the end user, build the prototype and test them. An Italian institute will participate for magnetic characterisation process. The coordinator role will be defined upon negotiations held among the partners.

In this project, the potential partners are sought for;
* magnet synthesis (SME as participant, research institute)
* 3D magnetic flux design (SME as participant, research institute)

The project is intended to last for 36 months.
