Kurzfassung

A company from Western Poland has developed a method for production of solid fuel from waste material. This fuel is applicable as a heaeting source for various heating devices from home fireplaces to large, industrial furnaces and boilers. It may also be adapted to be automatically supplied to the heating devices. The company is interested in technical co-operation as well as co-operation in terms of engineering and is looking for manufacturers of briquetting machines.



Details

A company from Western Poland has developed a method for production of solid fuel from waste materials. The technology is based on production of solid fuel on the basis of solid pyro-carbonisation product, which is a flammable product obtained in the process of rubber waste pyrolysis as well as various industrial, communal and organic wastes.
The essence of the solution is that a mixture of rubber waste (of various graining/size composition) pyro-carbonisatoin products, coal waste (sludge and mixture of sludge and fine coal obtained from all types of coal), communal sediment/precipitate, segregated communal waste, waste of vegetal origin and bond/adhesive in the form of e.g. clay. Weighed components are mixed until complete homogenisation and elimination of possible exceed of humidity in heated air or waste gases deriving from other processes. Next, briquettes or patent fuel from the prepared mixture of proper consistence is formed and produced via known methods.

Innovative Aspects:
Main advantages of the offered solution are both ecological and economic. The ecological ones are mainly based on the fact that the technology allows efficient use of many kinds of waste materials, mainly rubber and plastic waste, whose amount is gradually increasing and its storage takes place over larger and larger area. Moreover, the wastes let out to the atmosphere substances harmful for human and the environment and their degradation period takes decades or even more.

Another pro-ecological benefit is that the pyrolysis of the raw materials creating the mixture prevents the toxic volatile substances contained these materials from permeating or infiltrating into the atmosphere.

Economic advantages on the other hand, are based on obtaining new types of solid fuel from waste materials not used at present. Such fuels contain few volatile substances and are characterized by high heating or colorific value (CV) possible to be regulated by proper composition of the mixture.

The obtained fuel may be in various shapes and of high resistance to crushing which enables its transport, storage and application. This fuel may be produced and adapted to various heating devices from fireplaces at houses to large, industrial furnaces and boilers. It may also be adapted to be automatically supplied to the heating devices.
